Join the 15th Annual Hour of Power
Carleton College will again sponsor the Ted Mullin Hour of Power for Sarcoma Research. This will be the 15th Annual Hour of Power, and we welcome all collegiate, club, and high school swim teams and dryland teams.
The decision to go forward with this year’s event was not taken lightly, especially knowing all of us are faced with health concerns and new protocols aimed at keeping our teams safe. Unfortunately, while the pandemic has slowed, postponed and caused the cancellations of sport seasons, sarcoma remains unchecked, and continues to afflict and devastate the lives of its victims and their families.
The national date for the event will again be the second Tuesday of November, Nov. 10th. However, this year particularly that date might not work for many programs. Teams are encouraged to do the Hour of Power at any time, on in date, in any form they can (e.g. Zoom or other virtual Hour of Power, one hour of vigorous outdoor activity, etc.).
With your team’s wellness and safety being the utmost priority, we hope your team will join the Carleton Swim & Dive Knights for this year’s event, participating at whatever level you are able to do while staying safe.
We hope the Hour of Power will provide a unifying and inspiring team activity this year that we all so desperately need.
