Louisville’s Albiero and UCLA’s Stebbins Newly Elected to CSCAA Board

Louisville’s head coach, Arthur Albiero has been named President-Elect for the CSCAA.

Arthur Albiero of the University of Louisville and Tom Stebbins of UCLA have been newly elected to the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America board. They will begin their first term effective immediately.

Tom Stebbins (UCLA Diving Coach) has been elected to the CSCAA Board as the Women’s Diving Representative.

Albiero will join the executive board as the President-Elect and remain in the position through May 2024, at which point he will rise to President. Albiero has served as head coach for the Cards since 2003. During his time in Louisville he has achieved both national and international success. He was a member of the Team USA Coaching Staff at the 2017 and 2019 World Championships, along with being named Head Coach for the 2016 Short Course World Championships and the 2018 Pan Pacific Championships. Other members of the executive board include Cincinnati’s Mandy DiSalle (President), Kansas’ Clark Campbell (Past-President), Princeton’s Matt Crispino (Secretary) and Richmond’s Matthew Barany (Treasurer).

“I would like to welcome Arthur Albiero as President-Elect to the CSCAA Board of Directors,” said DiSalle. “Arthur has valuable insight to the world of college swimming and diving. His expertise and leadership will help our organization for years to come and I am looking forward to working along side him.”

Stebbins was elected as the women’s diving representative. He is entering his 25th year as the head diving coach of the UCLA Bruins. Under his leadership, UCLA divers have experienced success competing at the highest levels. He is a three-time Pac-12 Coach of the Year and in 2019 he was named CSCAA Division I Diving Coach of the Year.

“Tom is one of the finest diving coaches in the NCAA,” said UCLA Head Coach, Jordan Wolfrum. “Not only is he a skilled technician, but his work to ensure the growth, improvement and leadership of our swimming and diving teams make him an asset to our program. Tom and I have a great partnership rooted in our joint commitment to coach through trusting relationships and high performance standards. We are lucky to have him in service to the CSCAA.”

Tom is a sitting member on the NCAA Division I Swimming & Diving Championship committee. Katie Hazelton of Pittsburgh will partner with Tom on diving specific agenda items.

The CSCAA Board of Directors provides strategic oversight of the association in its efforts to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming & diving at the collegiate level.
