Hosts Sought for Spring Championship Seasons

The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA) is seeking hosts for the 2021 Spring Championship Series. The CSCAA Spring Championship Series will be held at multiple sites over multiple weekends.  The competition will be open between April 8-25. Results from each site will be combined and published in a comprehensive set of results.

The Championship Series aims to provide swimmers and divers with a tangible competitive experience. Sites with two or more participating teams, thereby becoming bona fide competitions, will be eligible for CSCAA All-America honors.

If your institution is interested in hosting an event, please contact Greg Earhart.

Host Locations

Any institution may host a meet to be included provided it has facility availability and local officials.  Each host:

  • Will develop meet information and a safety plan specific to their site;

  • May limit the number of competitors to comply with Local, State, and Federal guidelines;

  • May flight sessions or consolidate events to timed-finals;

  • Will provide a certificate of insurance indemnifying the CSCAA;

  • May, if necessary and in consultation with the CSCAA, charge a nominal entry fee to help defray costs related to hosting.

Teams interested in hosting this meet should contact Matt Zimmer with their intended dates and location of the competition.  The CSCAA will then assist with the marketing and promotion of the event.

Eligibility

This competition is open to all current NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA, and CCCAA member institutions   All competitors must be eligible as certified by their member institution.

Diving

Details of the diving competition will be provided later.

Entries & Scoring

Each athlete may score in a maximum of seven events of which no more than four be individual events.  Each team may score in a maximum of two relays per event with no ‘B’ relay scoring higher than any ‘A’ relay.

Scores will be calculated by Division from the combined results for each location’s FINALS session.  Sites with two or more participating teams, thereby becoming bona fide competitions, will be eligible for CSCAA All-America honors.
