CSCAA to Host College National Open Water Championship on December 15
Miami, FL – The College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) is thrilled to once again host the College National Open Water Championship at Florida International University (FIU) in Miami. This exciting event will take place on Sunday, December 15, in the beautiful, enclosed waters of Biscayne Bay.
With nearly 240 participants from institutions across the nation, including NCAA Divisions I, II, III, and NAIA, the event promises to be a thrilling showcase of endurance and skill. The competition will kick off at 8 a.m. with the men’s 5K race, followed by the women’s 5K race at 10 a.m.
“As open water continues to be a growing and exciting sport, we are eager to give many of these collegiate swimmers an opportunity to showcase their endurance or test the open waters for the first time,” said Samantha Barany, Executive Director of the CSCAA.
The championship offers a unique and welcoming environment for athletes and spectators alike, with Biscayne Bay providing a stunning backdrop for the races. The CSCAA grateful to FIU for their partnership and support in hosting this premier event.
