CSCAA Announces Top 25 Polls Calendar and Committee Rosters

The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) released the calendar for the anticipated Top 25 Dual Meet Polls for the 2023-2024 season.

The committee, comprised of college coaches, ranks the top 25 teams in the nation based on dual meet strength. The committee uses head-to-head results from the most recent segment of the season as the top consideration. Head-to-head results from prior segments of the season, common opponents and meet simulations are also considered when establishing monthly rankings. This poll does not predict top finishers in a championship meet format.

The Division I Committee is chaired by Bill Roberts (Navy) and Naya Higashijima (New Mexico). Brent Noble (Indianapolis) and Chris Villa (Indiana University of Pennsylvania) lead the Division II polls for the men and women, respectively. Division III chairs include Sean Tedesco (U.S. Merchant Marine Academy) for the men and Jake Taber (Hope) for the women. A full list of committee members can be found below.

The Division I preseason poll will kick off next week Thursday, October 12, 2023, while the Division II and III preseason poll will release Friday, October 13. The remaining schedule is as follows:

The mission of the polls is to produce an in-season ranking of the top 25 NCAA Division Swimming and Diving Teams in dual meet competition, in rank order, at the time of each poll.  The poll is not designed to predict the results of the NCAA Championship, but rather which teams would win a head-to-head dual meet against other teams in the country.  The committee will not attempt to differentiate between different meet types, formats, rested vs. unrested, etc.
