The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced its top NCAA Women’s Division II award winners and All-Americans for the 2021-22 season. From the Boardroom to the Classroom, Gmelich Selected for McCaffree Award

Victoria Hall Gmelich, who worked her way to an Ivy League education and developed a successful career trading mortgage derivatives on Wall Street before dedicating her life to providing educational opportunities, has been named the Charles McCaffree Award winner by the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA). The award, selected by the CSCAA’s Board of Directors, recognizes a swimming or diving graduate who has achieved outstanding success outside of the pool. Gmelich will be recognized at the 61st Annual CSCAA College Swimming & Diving Awards on May 2nd, in Rosemont, Illinois.

A Quiet Voice, A Strong Presence, Ganley Selected for Lifetime Achievement Award

Terry Ganley, the longest-tenured coach in University of Minnesota history, has been selected to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Executive Board of the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA). Ganley will be recognized at the 61st Annual CSCAA College Swimming & Diving Awards on May 2nd, in Rosemont, Illinois.

Coaches Vote Howard’s Askew National Collegiate Scholastic Trophy Winner

Nic Askew, the Director of Swimming and Diving and Tennis, at Howard University, has been selected by members of the CSCAA for the 2022 National Collegiate Scholastic Trophy, in recognition of his contributions to college swimming. He will be recognized at the 61st Annual CSCAA College Swimming & Diving Awards on May 2nd, in Rosemont, Illinois.

Ross Named Steadman Award Recipient

Few coaches have the opportunity to spend their entire career at one school and even fewer have the opportunity to do so at their alma mater. It can be argued, however, that only one can claim to be a friend to every member of the coaching community and that person – Dan Ross – has been selected as the 2022 Richard E. Steadman Award Winner for doing the most to spread happiness in the sport of swimming and diving. Ross was selected by the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association’s (CSCAA) Board of Directors and will be recognized at the 61st Annual CSCAA College Swimming & Diving Awards on May 2nd, in Rosemont, Illinois.
