Stonehill Latest to Add Swimming @gostonehill

Stonehill College has announced that it will add women’s swimming as its 22nd varsity athletic program with the first season of competition planned for the 2020-21 academic year.

Grand Valley Men, Rice Women Capture Open Water Titles

Moritz Bartels of Grand Valley State University and Taylor Pike of Texas A&M captured individual titles while Rice University and Grand Valley won team titles at the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Open Water Championship at Lone Star Lake in Lawrence, Kansas. The top five finishers for each gender earned automatic invitations to the USA Swimming 5K Open Water Championships.

Board Spotlight: Susan Teeter

Susan Teeter retired two years ago after her 33rd season as the ultra-successful head coach of the Princeton women’s swim team and 42nd year in coaching. Susan has faithfully served on CSCAA Executive Board of Directors.

CSCAA Selects 1,221 for Scholar All-America Team

The College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has named 1,221 swimmers and divers to Scholar All-American Team for the 2018-19 season. The award recognizes students that have achieved a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and competed at their respective NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.

Swim Teams Make the Grade in Spring

A record 777 teams, representing 480 institutions have been named to the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA)’s Scholar All-America team for the Spring 2019 Semester. The CSCAA recognizes those teams achieving a GPA of 3.0 or higher for the semester.

Allan Hancock College Adds Men’s Team

Building on the success of its women’s swimming and diving program, the Allan Hancock College associate dean and athletic director Kim Ensing announced the addition of men’s swimming and diving for the 2019-20 academic year. It is the second addition to the CCCAA, following Hartnell’s addition of men’s and women’s teams in April. It also marks the fourteenth new men’s team to add the sport for the 2019-20 season. An additional nine women’s programs will dive in as well.
