The College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) stands with the Ivy League, the University of Pennsylvania, and Penn Athletics in support of Lia Thomas’ right to compete. We further condemn the hatred that has been directed at Ms. Thomas and feel it has no place in the sport of swimming and diving.
ICAC Advocates for Olympic Sports on Campus
The CSCAA, as part of the Intercollegiate Coaching Association Coalition (ICAC), has taken a significant step in advocating for the protection and support of Olympic sports within college athletics. In a formal submission to Congress’s Commission on the State of U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Sports, the ICAC underscores the need to safeguard Olympic sports amid discussions surrounding protections for the NCAA.
CSCAA Honors Andrew Young with McCaffree Award
Andrew Young has been named the Charles McCaffree Award winner by the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA). The award, selected by the CSCAA’s Board of Directors, recognizes a swimming or diving graduate who has achieved outstanding success outside of the pool. Barany Tapped to Lead CSCAA
Samantha Barany has been named Executive Director for the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA). In her new role, Barany will lead the nation’s first collegiate coaches association, with a mission to preserve, protect and promote college swimming and diving.
