While we are grateful for the increased attention on college sports in Washington in recent years, we believe that Congress must focus more attention on ensuring that Olympic sports are protected and continue to be sponsored by universities across the country.

In addition to this settlement, it is critical that Olympic sports are protected on college campuses, that student-athletes are not categorized as employees, and that sport sponsorship minimums are not reduced. The CSCAA will continue to advocate for this on multiple levels.

Five Elected to Board of Directors
Mandy DiSalle of the University of Cincinnati, Jeanne Fleck of Fresno State University, Patrick Snively of Fairmont State University, Teresa Fish of Illinois Wesleyan University and Purdue University’s Brad Boswell have been elected to the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Board of Directors. Additionally, University of Utah Head Coach Joe Dykstra officially began his two-year term as the association’s president.
Association Announces Board Candidates

The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has unveiled a list of nine candidates for its Board of Directors and one for its Executive Board. The candidates include five men and five women representing each NCAA Division. This year’s election, which will take place online, will fill two divisional vacancies and a newly-created administrative position established last year. Members of the Board of Directors serve a two-year term and are eligible for up to three terms
Coffee and Cake with Clark Campbell

Clark Campbell has history with the Jayhawks at Kansas University. After giving up his eligibility as an NCAA swimmer to be a pro triathlete, he wanted to give back to a field that had given so much to him. Accepting a graduate assistant position at KU after completing his undergraduate degree it was the start of his coaching career; making stops at West Virginia Wesleyan, the University of Minnesota, and the University of Evansville. Campbell shares that swimming has allowed he and his family to love something collectively and he will be forever grateful for the sport.
