#CSCAA100 Celebrates Association’s 100th Year

One hundred years ago, a handful of coaches assembled to create the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), the nation’s first intercollegiate coaching association. This year, the CSCAA is proud to launch a year-long celebration of its rich history, showcasing the people who have made significant contributions both in the water and society and highlight opportunities the sport provides to thousands of student-athletes.
CSCAA Sets Convention Record
The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) shattered nearly every previous attendance record for its Digital Convention. With 635 coaches in attendance, the association nearly doubled its previous record of 320 attendees. Seventy-one diving coaches also attended, tripling the previous mark.
Convention Schedule Unveiled

The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA) is pleased to announce its draft agenda for its 2021 Convention. This year’s convention will take place online from May 3-6. To make the convention valuable and accessible the CSCAA has doubled the speakers lineup while also slashing registration rates.
CSCAA Opens Call for Presentations
The past year has provided society the opportunity to reevaluate, reinvent, and reimagine previously held assumptions. Instead of focusing on what we couldn’t do (meet in person), we imagined how a digital platform freed us from the limitations of travel, room scheduling, and even the weather. We asked, how could we use this year to offer programs, engage more coaches and make the convention more accessible than ever.
Convention Moves Online
Following the cancellation of this year’s CSCAA Convention, many of our speakers have graciously agreed to provide online presentations over the coming weeks. These presentations are free to all coaches and will be archived for all CSCAA members to access. Login to Register for Webinars

Six Selected for Freeman Class of 2019

The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) have selected Kristin Walker, Daniel Dozier, Mona Groteguth, Alice McCall, Nathan Hardingand Daniel Burke.to receive the Jean Freeman Scholarship. The scholarships are given annually to six assistant coaches whose exceptional contributions have brought recognition to their college or university, and whose leadership, integrity, honesty, competitive attitude and personal graciousness epitomize those characteristics reflected by Jean Freeman, longtime women’s swimming coach at the University of Minnesota.
Getting to Know Sean Tedesco

The 2019 CSCAA Convention and Banquet will mark the end of USMMA Head Coach Sean Tedesco’s tenure on the CSCAA Board of Directors. Before he leaves, we sat down with Sean to talk swimming and diving, his favorite convention talks and what he does off deck.
