UC Davis’ Jahn Selected for Steadman Award

The College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA) Executive Board of Directors has selected Barbara Jahn as its 2019 Richard E Steadman Award winner. Jahn will be recognized at the 59th Annual CSCAA Awards Banquet on May 6th in Myrtle Beach. For forty-four years Barb Jahn has brought a relentless positive attitude to the pools, fields, gyms and classrooms at UC Davis.  She has been the women’s Head Swimming Coach for 43 seasons and has led the Aggies to five conference titles since their transition to Division I a decade ago. 

Cal Leads CSCAA Post-Season Honors

The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America has selected 274 swimmers and divers to its Division I All-America team.  Four teams each had twelve first-team selections.  They included the Stanford women along with the men’s teams of Indiana, Texas and California. 

Who is Safe?

Our sport is not a zero-sum game.  On the contrary.  It is healthiest when we have a diversity of programs competing for and contributing something of value for their institution.  For some institutions, that means a NCAA or conference championship trophy, while at others it means posting the department’s APR.

California Cap Dual Season at #1 in TYR Top 25

February 25, 2019 – The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) have released the final men’s   TYR Top 25 Dual Meet Poll of the 2018-19 swimming and diving season.  The California men held their spot at #1.

Youngstown State Bringing Back Men

Youngstown State will add a men’s swimming and diving program as well as a women’s lacrosse team in the near future, Executive Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Ron Strollo announced on Monday.

Texas Women, California Men Hold Lead in Swim & Dive Poll

January 23, 2019 – The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) have released the fifth   TYR Top 25 Dual Meet Poll of the 2018-19 swimming and diving season.  The California men and Texas women held their #1 positions for the fourth poll in a row.
