Two New Number Ones and Six Debuts for the DIII Polls

TYR Top 25 Dual meet poll for Division III has been released. The Kenyon men and Johns Hopkins women are ranked in the top spot. Both were ranked number two in the preseason poll last month.
Swim Teams Make the Grade in Spring
A record 777 teams, representing 480 institutions have been named to the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA)’s Scholar All-America team for the Spring 2019 Semester. The CSCAA recognizes those teams achieving a GPA of 3.0 or higher for the semester.
MIT’s Benedick Named Franklin Award Winner

The CSCAA has named MIT’s John Benedick as its 2019 Franklin Award Winner. Benedick will be recognized at the 59th Annual CSCAA Awards Banquet on May 6, 2019.
Bigelow Selected for Lifetime Achievement Award

The Executive Board of the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has named Nancy Bigelow as its 2019 Lifetime Achievement Award winner. Bigelow will be recognized at the 59th Annual CSCAA Awards Banquet on May 6, 2019 in Myrtle Beach.
CSCAA Names 266 to Division III All-America Team

Brad Shively of Washington University in Saint Louis and Jess Book of Kenyon College have been named CSCAA Division III Swimming Coaches-of-the-Year for men and women respectively. The duo were selected by their peers following the 2019 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships in Greensboro, NC. Chicago’s Becky Benson was named women’s Diving Coach-of-the-Year while Lake Forest’s Nathan Lightman took home the men’s honor.
Salem to Add Women’s Team

Salem College will add a women’s swimming program, with Tim Hillen being named head coach. In doing so, Salem becomes the fourteenth institution to add the sport in time for the 2019-20 season. At present, twenty-one new teams (twelve men, nine women) will dive into competition next Fall.
