CSCAA Honors Dan Colella with Richard E. Steadman Award

Dan Colella has been selected as the 2023 Richard E. Steadman Award Winner for doing the most to spread happiness in the sport of swimming and diving. Colella was selected by the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association’s (CSCAA) Board of Directors and will be recognized at the 62st Annual CSCAA College Swimming & Diving Awards on May 8th, in Orlando, Florida.

The CSCAA honors individuals each year during the CSCAA Annual Meeting. The 2023 CSCAA Annual Meetings are scheduled to take place in Orlando, Florida.

Kendricks Receives Steadman Award

For nearly a quarter-century Sam Kendricks’ booming baritone voice has become synonymous with college swimming. It is his friendship, approachability, enthusiasm and unbridled positivity, however, that have made Kendricks one of the most likable individuals in the sport.

SwimOutlet.com, the web’s most popular swim shop, has named veteran swimming executive Matt Zimmer as its new President for both SwimOutlet.com and Swim.com.

Zimmer has served as the CSCAA’s Director of Operations for the past three years. He joined the association following more than two decades on the swimwear side in marketing leadership roles at TYR Sport and Dolfin Swimwear.

CSCAA Names 100 Greatest Women’s Swimmers & Divers

A total of 642 titles. That is the number of individual NCAA and NAIA championships won by members of the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association’s (CSCAA) 100 Greatest Swimmers & Divers of the past century. The selections were made as a part of the CSCAA’s 100th year celebration.

Coaches Commit to Sustainably, Volunteer $6.2 Million From Budgets

In response to the financial impact COVID-19 is having on higher education and intercollegiate athletics, Division I swimming and diving coaches have banded together to slash costs and identify ways to make our sport more sustainable. To date, our coaches have voluntarily given back more than $6.2 million dollars from budgets for the coming year. The process is not easy, but we are more than just competitors. We are educators and stewards of a sport that has taught us the value of sacrifice and the importance of being a team player.
