Kenyon Men and Denison Women Lead Division III into 2020

This year’s CSCAA / TYR Top 25 Division III Pre-Season Poll puts the Denison men and Emory women in the top spots. Denison finished the 2018-2019 season ranked first in the men’ poll while Emory ended last season ranked second, behind the Denison women. 

Represent the USA at the FISU America Games

Held in even-numbered years, the FISU America Games are a multi-sport event similar to the Pan-American Games for FISU member-countries. BTI Events, managing partner for the US-IUSF, is seeking teams interested in representing the United States at the 2020 Games in Merida, Mexico.

Florida and California lead the Dual Meet Ranks in the TYR Top 25 Poll

The second TYR Top 25 Division I poll is in the books . After two weeks worth of meets since the preseason poll was released (October 9), the committee saw enough evidence to keep the California men at number one. Also remaining in their preseason position are the Texas (2) and NC State (3) men. Missouri (4) and Indiana (5) climb into the top five. The Florida Gators moved into the top spot on the women’s side, after convincing road wins against Minnesota and Missouri. The Stanford women drop one spot to number two this week, while the Lady Vols made the largest climb from number 15 to number three after beating preseason #2, Virginia in Knoxville. Auburn and California take fourth and fifth on the women’s side.

Swim & Dive’s Academic Success to Impact the Bottom Line

In the NCAA’s latest release of academic success, swimming and diving stood at the top of their class. According to the NCAA, both men’s and women’s swimming and diving both posted the highest federal graduation rates among all Division I sports with at least 100 sponsoring institutions.

Queens Rule Top Spots in DII Preseason Dual Meet Poll

The CSCAA/TYR Top 25 Division II Preseason Poll list Queens University of Charlotte in the number one spot for both the men and women. The Royals carry their momentum into this season as they also finished the 2018-2019 season on top of both polls.

Colgate President, Dr. Brian Casey, Selected for McCaffree Award

The Executive Board of the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has selected Dr. Brian Casey for its Charles McCaffree Award. The McCaffree Award is presented annually to an individual connected to the sport of swimming who has achieved outstanding success outside of the pool.
