Evansville, Ind. — The University of Tampa claimed the NCAA Division II Men’s Swimming National Championship for the second time in program history, marking its second title in the past three seasons.
On the women’s side, Nova Southeastern captured the 2026 NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving National Championship, securing its fourth consecutive team title.
A total of 389 student-athletes earned CSCAA All-America honors at this year’s NCAA Division II Championships, including 196 men and 193 women. Among those recognized, 233 athletes earned First Team All-America honors with top-eight finishes, while 156 received Second Team honors for placing ninth through 16th. Several programs led the way with standout performances, including Colorado Mesa (31 honorees), Tampa (29), and Grand Valley (25), underscoring the depth and competitiveness of this year’s championship field.
The CSCAA congratulates all honorees for their outstanding performances at the national championship level.
Swim Coaches of the Year
After guiding Nova Southeastern to its fourth consecutive NCAA Championship, Ben Hewitt was named Women’s Swim Coach of the Year. This marks Hewitt’s third time receiving the honor, having previously been recognized in 2023 and 2025.
Jimi Kiner led Tampa to its second national championship in program history—and second in the last three seasons—earning Men’s Swim Coach of the Year honors. This is Kiner’s second career award, also winning in 2024.
Swimmers of the Year
Nova Southeastern’s Kristina Orban was named Women’s Swimmer of the Year after winning three individual national titles and contributing to three championship relays. Orban claimed gold in the 100 butterfly, 200 freestyle, and 100 freestyle, and was a member of the record-setting 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay teams.
On the men’s side, Lynn’s Maurice Grabowski earned Men’s Swimmer of the Year honors after capturing four individual national titles and a relay gold medal. Grabowski set Sunshine State Conference records in all four individual victories (50 freestyle, 100 butterfly, 100 backstroke, and 100 freestyle) and helped Lynn to an NCAA Division II record in the 200 medley relay (1:24.15).
Divers of the Year
PennWest Clarion’s Luna Castellanos was named the 2026 CSCAA Women’s Diver of the Year after winning the 1-meter event and placing third on the 3-meter board. The 1-meter title marked her fifth career national championship, tying former Golden Eagle Kayla Kelosky for the second-most individual women’s diving titles in NCAA history. Castellanos earns the honor for the third time, previously winning in 2022-23 and 2024-25.
Delta State’s Santiago Santodomingo was named Men’s Diver of the Year after winning the 3-meter event and finishing third on the 1-meter. Santodomingo became the first diver in program history to win a national title in the men’s 3-meter event.
Diving Coaches of the Year
PennWest Clarion’s Heath Calhoun was named Women’s Diving Coach of the Year for the fourth consecutive season. Calhoun coached Luna Castellanos to a 1-meter title and Colleen Hudson to a 3-meter championship. The Golden Eagles swept the 3-meter podium and placed first, third, and fourth in the 1-meter event.
Colorado Mesa’s Julie Weddle earned Men’s Diving Coach of the Year honors following a strong performance from the Mavericks. Ryan Campbell finished as national runner-up on both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards, while the team accumulated 92 points. In just her second season, Weddle guided Colorado Mesa to four finalists in the 3-meter competition.
All-America Honors
Individuals were selected based on their finish at the NCAA Division II Championships and current CSCAA membership. The top eight individuals and relay teams earned First Team All-America honors, while those finishing ninth through 16th received Second Team recognition. Institutions must be current CSCAA members for their student-athletes to be eligible.
