Emory Women, Denison Men Lead December Poll

December 19, 2025 – The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has released the December edition of the Division III Top 25 dual meet poll. The Emory women and Denison men claim the top spots of their respective polls.

The committee, consisting of Division III coaches, assesses and ranks the nation’s top 25 dual meet teams. Their evaluation takes into account head-to-head dual meet outcomes, performances since the last rankings, season-long performances, dual meet records, roster changes (such as injuries), and data from the SwimCloud Simulator. It’s important to note that the poll’s objective is not to predict the top finishers in a championship meet format.

Denison (425) moves up two spots to claim the top position in the Division III Men’s December Poll. NYU (405) climbs six spots to second, while Emory (392) follows in third. Chicago (375) holds fourth place, with Carnegie Mellon rounding out the top five. Other notable risers include MIT (324), which jumps five spots to seventh, and Tufts, which moves up four spots to 12th. Salisbury (169) enters the top 25 at 16th, joined by Connecticut College (78) at 21st and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (60) at 22nd. A total of 30 teams received votes in this month’s poll.

On the women’s side, Emory (363) edges NYU (362) to maintain the top spot in the latest rankings. Kenyon (355), Denison (330), and MIT (313) also hold their positions in the top five, coming in third, fourth, and fifth, respectively. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps made the most significant move in the poll, jumping five spots to 13th, while Gettysburg climbed four spots to 18th. Salisbury (58) and Ithaca entered the top 25 at 22nd and 25th, respectively. A total of 26 teams received votes in the December poll.

*Dual meet records are sourced from each institution’s website.
