Indianapolis Men Move to No. 1 as Tampa Women Hold Top Spot in Final Division II Dual Meet Poll

March 6, 2026 – The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has released the March edition of the Division II Top 25 Dual Meet Poll. The Indianapolis men edged Drury by two points to claim the top spot on the men’s side for the first time this season. Tampa remained atop the women’s poll, where it has been since the December rankings.

The committee, made up of Division II coaches, evaluates and ranks the nation’s top 25 dual meet teams based on several factors. These include head-to-head dual meet results, performances since the last rankings, season-long achievements, dual meet records, roster changes (such as injuries), and data from the SwimCloud simulator. It is important to note that the poll is not intended to predict top finishers in a championship meet format.

The race at the top of the Division II Men’s Dual Meet Poll was tight, as Indianapolis (245) took over the top spot from Drury (243). Tampa (232) and Colorado Mesa (219) held steady in third and fourth, respectively, while McKendree (208) jumped two spots to round out the top five. Florida Southern (160) and Northern Michigan (151) both moved into the top ten, landing at ninth and tenth. The biggest mover in the March poll was Delta State (82), which climbed from 24th to 18th.

On the women’s side, just seven points separated the top three teams as Tampa (243) edged Nova Southeastern (238) and Colorado Mesa (236). The top five remained unchanged from the February poll, with Drury (218) in fourth followed by West Florida (212). The biggest movers were Azusa Pacific (52), which jumped three spots to No. 20, and Wayne State (36), which also climbed three spots to No. 22. UMSL reentered the poll this month at No. 23 after receiving votes in February. A total of 28 teams received votes in this month’s poll.
