CSCAA Announces Partnership with Hank Harrawood and KHG Sports

CSCAA and KHG Sports partners to offer support to member coaches.

The CSCAA announced a partnership with KHG Sports, a full service sports management firm. The partnership will assist CSCAA coaches with head coach contracts and provide support in navigating risk management situations.

KHG Sports boasts a team of top professionals with years of experience and knowledge in both the legal and sports industry. The CSCAA will work primarily with Hank Harrawood because of his experience in the sports industry and specifically, collegiate athletics.

Hank currently serves as the Director of Coaching and Collegiate Services for KHG. Prior to his time at KHG, Hank was a senior level college athletics administrator for several NCAA Division I institutions.

“As the world of college athletics evolves at a rapid pace, I'm excited to begin work with the CSCAA and their outstanding membership to ensure swimming & diving coaches have a reliable and trusted place to turn for career related matters,” said Harrawood. “With the introduction of this partnership, coaches will be able to spend more of their valuable time and attention on what matters most- building relationships, providing support, and developing their student-athletes.”

Harrawood graduated from East Carolina University and later the Elon University School of Law. He has been licensed to practice law in North Carolina since 2012. Hank has hired multiple coaches across several sports in the NCAA Division I space. His in-depth knowledge of collegiate athletics, the hiring and search process, and his administrative network allow him to serve his clients and help them reach all of their professional goals. His legacy as a steady, engaging, and transparent administrator allow for maximum collaboration between his clients and the schools they work for. Hank also serves as an Associate Attorney at the Knipp Law Office.

“From the start, I knew this was an essential service we should be providing for our member coaches, and the board was in full agreement,” said Executive Director, Samantha Barany. “The program was launched in August after spending the summer reviewing candidates and learning what other college coach associations are providing to their membership. Our coaches can now login to their accounts, request support and confidentially be put in contact with KHG to get answers they need as professionals in our industry. We are thrilled to find new and innovative ways to support our coaches so they can spend their time and energy leading and coaching student-athletes."
