The CSCAA Community Service Recognition Program recognizes collegiate swimmers and teams that give back to their community.  Nominees can do so by donating their time or money a charitable organization, service group or other community service involvement.  Candidates have to display sincere concern and reliability, while also having made a favorable impression on the organizations with which they are involved.

Recognition Criteria

  • Teams should complete a minimum of a) four hours of community service OR b) raise a minimum of $50.00 per participating athlete with a minimum of 20 hours or $500.00 raised.  
  • Individuals cannot benefit financially from the service, nor is court-ordered service.
  • Service / contributions must benefit a non-profit or local community organization.  Nominating teams cannot be beneficiary of the service or contributions though other campus organizations may be. (i.e. Swim-a-Thon’s to raise funds for a training trip are not eligible).
  • Service / contributions must be verifiable by beneficiary

Supporting Materials

Teams are encouraged to submit supporting materials, including photographs, video or beneficiary comments of their involvement.  These materials will be used to promote the program and the team’s good works.
