Tritons sweep Division II Top 25 Polls

UC San Diego Women and Indianapolis men start 2020 ranked number one in the Top 25 Polls.

UC San Diego Women and Indianapolis men start 2020 ranked number one in the Top 25 Polls.

The CSCAA Top 25 Division II polls are swept by UC San Diego. The lady Tritons keep their their position after taking over the number one position last month. The Triton men made the climb from fifth to first for the final poll before championship season gets underway later this month.

The women's side is largely unchanged from the January poll. The Lady Triton’s received four of the six top votes from the committee. Queens took the remaining number one votes which was good enough for a second place ranking. Drury and Indy flipped positions from the last poll. Drury now sits at third and Indy fourth.  Wingate remained fifth.

For the men, four of the top five teams remain in tack, with just a slightly different order. UC San Diego men, like their women counterpart, walked away with four of the top votes. Drury and Queens both hold at second and third, respectively. Indy dropped from first to fourth. McKendree moved back into the top 5 this month, jumping three spots from their previous 8th place ranking.

The poll aims to measure the top teams in head-to-head competition. The rankings are voted on by CSCAA-member coaches and the next poll is scheduled for release on March 2, 2020.
