CSCAA Announces 2024 NJCAA All-American Honors
The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced the NJCAA All-Americans for the 2023-24 season.
In the NJCAA National Championship last week, the Indian River men won their 50th consecutive title amassing 1,330 points, 21 event wins and two national records. Southwestern Oregon finished as the men's runner-up and Iowa Central finished third.
The CSCAA’s 2024 NJCAA Men’s Swimmer-of-the-Year is Anderson Brown of Indian River after setting a new national record in the 200 butterfly (1:44.84). Ryan Campbell of Monroe CC (NY) is the CSCAA’s 2024 NJCAA Men’s Diver-of-the-Year and Dale Pearce also of Monroe CC is the Swim Coach-of-the-Year. Monroe CC had a standout national championship, earning the highest place of all non-scholarship teams at fifth overall.
On the women's side, Indian River took home their 46th NJCAA Swimming & Diving Championship title - 42nd consecutive championship - collecting 21 event titles and setting three new national records. Southwestern Oregon finished runner up while Barton finished third. Jamestown (NY) was the top non-scholarship team.
Indian River’s Ana Villamil and Alexandra Andueza are the Women’s Swimmer-of-the-Year and Diver-of-the-Year for 2024. Andueza set two new records in the one and three-meter diving events. Villamil set a new national record in the 50 breaststroke. Todd Cocklin of Jamestown is the CSCAA’s Women’s Swim Coach-of-the-Year.
Indian River’s David Suba is the Diving Coach-of-the-Year.
Individuals were selected on the basis of their finish at the NJCAA Championships and membership with the CSCAA. The top eight individuals and top four relays in each event earned All-American. Teams must be a current CSCAA member to be eligible.
