Longhorns Lead
The Longhorns continue to lead the polls as we move into 2021. Both the men and women are ranked first in the Top 25 Polls for January. The committee continues to consider all forms of competition (virtual, intrasquad and in-person) due to the inconsistent schedules forced by COVID.
Once again, Texas men get the unanimous nod for first. Georgia is second, again. California is two points behind the Bulldogs, in third. Unchanged, Texas A&M and Florida are in fourth and fifth respectively. Pennsylvania puts two new teams in the rankings with Pittsburgh at 22nd and Penn State at 24th.
On the women's side, the top three positions remain the same. Texas is first for the second month in a row. Virginia is just six points back, in second. Georgia holds at third. Tennessee is up one spot into fourth and Michigan jumps from ninth to fifth this month, rounding out the top five. Penn State, Notre Dame and Louisiana State enter the polls this month at 17th, 18th and 25th, respectively.

Rankings exclude teams that have announced their intention to not compete in the 2020-2021 season.
The rankings are voted on by CSCAA-member coaches and select media. Each committee includes nine representatives from the Power Five leagues, five at-large programs, and two media members. The women and men committee chairs are Naya Higashijima (SMU) and Bill Roberts (Navy). The next poll is scheduled for release on February 11 (date is subject to change).
