Centennial Blue Ribbon Panel Named

As part of the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America's (CSCAA) year-long centennial celebration, a blue-ribbon panel has been convened to vote on the sport's greatest athletes, coaches and alumni. The panel is made up of fifty-eight voters, with fourteen additions expected. The group consist of influential figures from across college swimming and diving including current and former coaches, past athletes and members of the media.

A steering committee comprised of Jim Ellis, Anne Goodman-James, Bob Groseth, Peter Hovland, and Jon Lederhouse recruited the incredibly accomplished panel.


Founded in 1922, the CSCAA is the nation's first professional association of collegiate coaches. As a part of its centennial, the association is recognizing the 100 Greatest Swimmers & Divers, Coaching Pioneers and 100 Greatest Coaches, 100 Alumni of Impact and a Centennial MVP Team. The CSCAA will announce nominees for the 100 Greatest Swimmers and Divers next week. Nominations are still being accepted for coaches, alumni and team MVPs.
