Mike Tubb named Director of Technology and Awards Programs
Mike Tubb has been appointed as the Director of Technology and Awards Programs for the College Swim Coaches Association (CSCAA), as announced by CSCAA Executive Director Samantha Barany. Tubb was selected for the position because of his background as a collegiate head coach and his proficiency in the technology software utilized to support the association's membership.
In his new role, Tubb will be responsible for overseeing various programs, including the CSCAA Top 25 Polls, the Scholar All-America and All-America Awards Programs, as well as managing the technology needs of the CSCAA. Barany expressed her excitement about Tubb joining the team, highlighting his unique skill set and experience in the industry.
“We are excited to have Mike join the CSCAA team. His ability to relate to the members as a former coach and serve them with his unique skill set makes him an ideal addition to the organization,” said Barany. “His combination of coaching experience and technological knowledge will greatly benefit the CSCAA and its members.”
Tubb previously served as the head swimming and diving coach at Susquehanna University. He assumed the position in June 2019 and recently completed his fourth season with the River Hawks. Prior to his tenure at Susquehanna, Tubb gained coaching experience at both the Division I and Division III levels, including stints at the University of Chicago Illinois, Rowan University, and his alma mater, Rider University.
“I would first like to thank Sam and Maureen for the opportunity to work with the CSCAA. I look forward to continuing the great work that the CSCAA does for the sport of swimming and diving and will strive to help build on the foundation that has been established by past and current members. I am excited for the opportunity to work hard with our great membership to optimize what our organization can be in the future” said Tubb.
A native of Swedesboro, New Jersey, Tubb graduated from Rider University in 2012 with a degree in secondary education and social studies. During his time at Rider, he was a 4-year letter winner and 2-year captain for the Broncos, contributing to their MAAC men's swimming and diving title in 2012. Tubb furthered his education by earning a master's degree in education administration from Rider in 2014, during which he worked as a graduate assistant in the Student Success Center.
