Denison Men and MIT Women Lead Final Division III Polls
Denison Men and MIT Women claim top spots in Final DIIIPoll
March 7, 2025 - The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has released the March edition of the Division III Top 25 dual meet poll. The Denison men and MIT women have claimed the the top spots of the Division III March polls.
The committee, consisting of Division III coaches, assesses and ranks the nation's top 25 dual meet teams. Their evaluation takes into account head-to-head dual meet outcomes, performances since the last rankings, season-long performances, dual meet records, roster changes (such as injuries), and data from the SwimCloud Simulator. It's important to note that the poll's objective is not to predict the top finishers in a championship meet format.
Denison (400) closes out the year at the top of our Division III Men's poll. Emory (382), NYU (370), and Chicago (351) maintained their positions from last month, while Williams (329) moved into the top five. Kenyon and Hope made the most significant jumps, with Kenyon climbing seven spots to six and Hope rising eight spots to 17. The Coast Guard Academy and Swarthmore reentered the top 25, ranking 21 and 23, respectively.
On the women’s side, MIT (393) claimed the top spot for the first time this year. NYU (371) narrowly edged out Emory (370) for second place, while Denison (364) and Kenyon (342) rounded out the top five. Hope made the biggest leap in the women’s poll, moving from twelve to nine. Amherst (16) and Ithaca (25) broke into the top 25 after being unranked last month.
*Dual meet records are sourced from each institution's website.
You can find a complete list of the rankings at: www.cscaa.org/top25
Each committee includes representatives from the four Division III regions. The women’s and men’s committee chairs are Jake Taber (Hope) and Sean Tedesco (USMMA), respectively.
