Tampa Men and Indianapolis Women Claim Top spots in Final Division II Poll

Tampa Men and UIndy Women top Division II Final Poll

March 7, 2025 -  The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has released the March edition of the Division II Top 25 dual meet poll, with the Tampa men and Indianapolis women claiming the top spots to finish out the year.

The committee, made up of Division II coaches, evaluates and ranks the nation's top 25 dual meet teams based on several factors. These include head-to-head dual meet results, performances since the last rankings, season-long achievements, dual meet records, roster changes (such as injuries), and data from the SwimCloud Simulator. It's important to note that the poll is not intended to predict top finishers in a championship meet format.

The Tampa men’s team (246) will conclude the year as the top-ranked program in our Division II Dual Meet Polls. Drury (240), Indianapolis (226), and Colorado Mesa maintained their positions at second through fourth, while McKendree (211) moved back into the top five. Wayne State (103) made the biggest jump, climbing five spots to 21, while Northern Michigan (175) rose three places to break into the top 10. A total of 28 teams received votes in the final poll of the year.

On the women's side, Indianapolis secured the top spot in the Division II Women's Dual Meet Poll. Colorado Mesa (238) and Drury (230) followed at second and third, while Nova Southeastern (222) and Grand Valley State (207) rounded out the top five. Augustana (SD) (72) made the most significant move, climbing three spots to 19. UMSL broke into the top 25 to close out the year, claiming the final spot. A total of 28 teams received votes this month.

*Dual meet records are sourced from each institution's website.

A full list of the rankings is available at: www.cscaa.org/top25

Each committee includes eleven representatives from across the country. The women and men committee chairs are Chris Villa (IUP) and Brent Noble (Indy).
