Elkhart Selected to Host 2021 & 2020 Championships

With a record number of teams and student-athletes descending on Cleveland for Thursday’s start of the 2020 National Invitational Championship (NIC), the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has announced that the Elkhart Health and Aquatics Center Elkhart, IN will host the (NIC) in 2021 and 2022. The NIC is the largest and most innovative college swimming championship in the country.

Temporary Recruiting Dead Period Until April 15

Yesterday, the NCAA Board of Governors directed Divisions I, II and III to enact modifications, changes, or waivers to legislation and rules where appropriate to provide necessary relief due to regulations and policies impacted by COVID-19. Based on that action, the NCAA Division I Council Coordination Committee conducted a teleconference and took action on behalf of Division I.

NIC To Move Forward Without Spectators

Based on recommendations provided by the State of Ohio, spectators will not be permitted to attend the National Invitational Championship (NIC) at Cleveland State University. Although no cases of coronavirus have been detected on the University campus, the decision to not admit spectators is a preventive effort that aims to minimize the potential for exposure.
